    1. …pretty kool links and this methodology is definitely not new – it reminds me of a talk by R2 (http://www.r2tech.com/) where their mammography system is used by radiologists to determine whether there are traces of breast cancer tissue in the mammograph image.

      The process works like this: after being processed by the system, the radiologist is presented with a filtered set of mammograph that the system thinks is worth looking at. The radiologist scrutinizes the images and decides which patient would need to come back for further lab tests.

      The results can be fed back into the system so it can become “smarter” about which mammograph to present to the radiologist next time around.
