Crazedlist: search Craigslist across multiple cities at once
Do you ever need to search more than one city at a time on Craigslist? I do…on what seems like a regular basis. I came across a useful site called Crazedlist which allows you to do just this: specify a Craigslist search and choose several cities to search all in one query. When selecting cities there is no “Select All” action but you can either fire off rapid [spacebar] [tab] sequences or simply modify the HTML to create and save your own template for the page with all the cities you want selected.

It essentially does the same thing as crazedlist, but better, in my opinion. I started designing the site before I was even aware of crazedlist, but looking at them now, I think my site is an improvement.
A couple of specific things are 1) no sea of checkboxes - I use a two step method of selecting states then selecting cities using selection boxes; 2) easier to scroll results with “previous city”/”next city” buttons and index, rather than everything mushed onto one page.
Go give it a whirl..

Craigs Helper is nice. I like the look. Very Google like.
I’ve put together a different type of Craigslist helper at: http://www.craig2mail.com/craigs.html that allows you to submit any craigslist search and get email whenever a matching ad is posted. You no longer have to search over and over only to find that someone else beat you out to getting what you want. Try it at:

Here’s another great craigslist searcher:
http://www.craigslistwatch.com
It runs your search on craigslist once an hour and notifies about new listings - sends an email or text message.
Also, it lets you set additional filters in the form of keywords to include or exclude. This is in addition to any craigslist filters you used (such as price, keywords, has pic, etc.).
Works for any city.

Yeah, there are lots of these search tools out there. But the latest that I found is a standalone windows program called CLSearch (Craigslist Multi-City Search) from http://www.craigslistcompanion.com/ and I think it’s prety cool.
CLSearch is a free download, not only it give you multi-city search functionality. It also provide you pictures of the craigslist ads if one is attached on the original ad.
